Abstract

Photoluminescence mechanism in crystalline materials has been explained with excitation and emission probabilities. Detailed experimental block diagram and working of the system has been elaborated. Specific spectra and insight from the schematic spectra has also been highlighted. Independent case studies with respect to analysis of optical bandgap, composition, impurity concentration, stress and mapping of the optical quality from the photoluminescence analysis has been discussed in detail.
