Abstract

Thermoluminescence phenomenon has been explained in detail. The materials (pure and doped)
exhibiting this thermoluminescent character has been listed with insight on their performance. The
mechanism, different parameters influencing the performance and recent developments on the
thermoluminescent materials has been highlighted.
