Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM)
Abstract
Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) is a powerful tool for characterizing magnetic properties of crystals. Its sensitivity and versatility make it particularly suitable for differentiating anisotropic properties in single crystals of magnetic materials. This study highlights the application of VSM in probing magnetic anisotropy, where directional dependence of magnetic properties is of significant interest. Through systematic measurements of magnetization as a function of applied field and temperature across various crystal orientations, the VSM results demonstrate inherent anisotropic behavior stemming from the crystal structure and magnetic interactions. These results provide valuable insights into the fundamental mechanisms governing magnetic anisotropy and facilitate the design of advanced materials for magnetic and spintronic applications. The findings underscore the potential of VSM in advancing research on single-crystal magnetic systems and tailoring their properties for specific technological needs.
