Abstract

Scintillation detectors are widely used in various fields, including nuclear physics, medical imaging,
and environmental monitoring. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of scintillation
measurements. Key topics include sample preparation, Mounting of the scintillation crystal, detector design and operation, data acquisition and analysis, and advanced techniques such as pulse shape discrimination and decay measurements. By understanding the principles and techniques involved in scintillation measurements, researchers can optimize detector performance and extract valuable information from radiation interactions.
