Each exercise includes in-depth research aspects of the practical, principle, and experimental procedure. The book is lavishly illustrated with black-and-white and colour diagrams. It is necessary to draw on the work of many authorities and seek the advice of experts when compiling a book of this type, and the authors are grateful to all of them. Although every effort has been made to ensure that the book is error-free, errors may occur. We gratefully accept constructive criticism and valuable suggestions from readers for future editions of the book. We also want to thank the publishers who took on the task of publishing the book.
