Abstract
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the trauma that affects the brain tissue due to hypoperfusion and hypoxia, which can lead to ischemia and infarction. Reperfusion injury is the damage caused to tissue when the supply of blood returns to the brain after a period of ischemia. These injuries are major epidemiological concerns because they cause significant disability and even death. Neuroprotection refers to the mechanisms or strategies used to slow disease progression by halting or slowing further neuronal loss
